After calling DNR agent Sam Stokes, just to be sure, he returned my call and said, after speaking with another agent, that it would have been perfectly ok, holding the registered permit, to have used the crossbow. I didn't, but when checked at the sign-in station I did inquire and that is where the info came from, and calling today too. scdave

Dave you know how those game wardens are here , hell I had one ask me when trapping season was the other day. LOL It pays to double check and you better hope the guy that stops you is the same dude telling the story. Get it in writing cause the turkey guide says different and really thats all you got to hang your case on.
For the record I dont really see why you cant use one in any capacity handicapped permitted or not, its certainly not a supreme advantage . Well actually set up right I bet I could bust a gobblers azz at 80 yards everytime. LOL Ok maybe they have a reason.LOL
Anyhow make sure you check it out , I dont want to have to bail your old azz out.
