There's got to be one or two people here who know how to score a deer... ;D I will admit I've never scored a deer except by guessing. My question is does the end of the main beam after the last point get measured for length and count as a point??? My bro-inlaw found a deer skull on a property that I don't hunt and he gave it to me to add to my collection. I guessed a score of 100" just by looking at it. It looks to me like a 2 1/2 yo buck. I scored it by measuring the end of the main beam beyond the G-4 as a point, and came up with 107 2/8 gross and 102 4/8 net. This is the second time I've tried to score a deer and I'm just wondering if I'm doing it right. I followed the directions on the B&C web site and used their score calculator, but they don't clearly say if the end of the main beam beyond the G-4 should be counted as a point and measured as such. If I did this incorrectly and the end of the main beam is not supposed to be measured then the score would be 103 gross and net 98 4/8. I'm no scorer, so I could be off by a few inches. I think it's close to 100" though...what do you guys think?? It's a nice buck anyway despite any score, and would've been a true stomper in a year or two with some more mass and width added as the years passed.

Yeah, that's what I used. If I'm understanding correctly the part of the main beam after the last point is NOT measured again and considered a point. So the rough score on this rack would be 103 gross and 98 4/8. Thanks Fever.
