New to board and new to hunting SC. Just picked up a club in Greenwood SC if anyone has hunted around there. Diehard Texas Hill Country hunter before.

SC deer seem EXTREMELY skiddish and aware....much more so than Texas. Killed 3 nice does this year for the freezer but looking for the big buck this next weekend. We take usually 120s or better and trophy QDM on the 4 properties.

Anxious to get some pointers (no pun intended)

Welcome to the deer hunting in SC.LOL It is tough especially the mature bucks. Depends on the property too. We mainly hunt in the eastern and lowcountry of the state. Plenty of turkeys but we usually go north for the deer.

Welcome to the site there are some other SC hunters on here as well.

Left texas and now deer huntinng in SC. I am so so sorry for you. LOL

Theres a few of us South Carolinians kicking around here and we manage to kill a few every year. Welcome to the board, feel free to share your SC deer hunters frustration....we understand.
