Since we all live in different states i thought it would be interesting to know what you would change about your regs. here in Md where i live i would do the following limit the bucks to 2 a year no matter what weapon, i would like only 1 but that will never happen since curently we are allowed 6 drop the doe tags from 10 each season to 3 at the most each season, or maybe do a county by county limit. some places do need 10 taken out for a FEW years change the ending time to 45 minutes past sunset, with sunset here on the coast at 4:45 at 5:15 it is still way light out more policing of the hunters who dont follow the rules well, including the ones who ride atvs on undesignated areas, as well as shooting well after the set time. i may add more later tell us what you would change in your state

maryland- "limit the bucks to 2 a year no matter what weapon, i would like only 1 but that will never happen since curently we are allowed 6" have to disagree. how many hunters actually take more than two bucks a year now? not many. maybe 10%. that rule wouldnt solve much. id say allow one buck a year with 15" antler spread. "change the ending time to 45 minutes past sunset, with sunset here on the coast at 4:45 at 5:15 it is still way light out" wow! id have to definetly disagree. 30min. after sunset i cant see crap in the woods. i say keep that the same. i would impose a death sentence for those found guilty of game cam theft. i would also start the season sept. 1st like delaware. no blaze orange for bow only lands during gun/smokepole seasons. obviously sunday hunting would be allowed!!!!!! no early muzzleloader season! after gun season ends u could use your muzzleloader the rest of the hunting year no need to tag deer unless it leaves your possesion. just like kentucky. youth hunters get a full week of gun. the week of thanksgiving. they have off school that week! EVERYONE must pass qualification test with every weapon you hunt with. this would greatly change the type of people we have in our woods. i really dont think changing the doe harvest would change anything. last year there were 48,624 does taken and 45,244 bucks taken.

In SC
1. prohibit all baiting 2. illegalize dog hunting 3. change the 5 buck limit to 2 bucks with atleast 12" spread and at least 4 points on one side 4. stiffen the penalties for game violations 5. shorten gun season from Aug.15-Jan.1 to Sept 15-Oct.15
There are a whole lot of laws I would change here because the screwed up games laws we have are the reasons our hunting is so poor.

In Maryland if I were King I would: 1) Allow Sunday hunting. 2) Impose Antler Restrictions - minimum of 4 points on one side. 3) Allow 2 bucks total - all weapons combined. 4) Start bow season on Sept. 1

In Ohio I would change a 1 buck limit to 2 and make the season limit 5 whitetailed deer statewide.
Open turkey season statewide instead of select zones. Starting to get alot of turkeys up north here boys.
Make spotlighting deer legal. (not shooting them with a spotlight) but being able to go out to a field and light it up just to see whats there. Whats the difference between spotlighting and trailcams anyway?

Idaho: Declare year round open season on all varmints, including wolves, the ACLU, PETA, HSUS, and the Brady Bunch.

I would make it legal for the Indiana early bow season tags to be used during late bow season too if you haven't used them during the early season. As of right now I have to buy another tag so that I can hunt a buck during the late season. Even better would be a "buck" tag that you could use with all legal weapons during it's corresponding season. I feel for the guys who hunt a buck with every weapon . Right now it will cost them $96 a year.....$24 for an early bow season tag, $24 for a firearms tag, $24 for a MLr tag, and finally $24 for a late bow season tag.
Also decrease the doe tag prices in a sort of scale. First tag would be $24 like normal, 2nd tag could be reduced to $15-$20, then reduced again for the third tag to $10-$15....etc. The state is crying for doe kills, and has recently raised the limits in nearby counties, but it costs $24 for every doe tag. I can't afford to kill a lot of does at that price.

I really can't complain much on how regulations are here in Kentucky, but will say if I had one thing to change:
I would over turn the decision to allow crossbows during all of archery season for both deer and turkey. Just don't agree with it.

Idaho has some rules pertaining to weapons that seem a bit archaic. Some of these could be relaxed. With bows and muzzleloaders, in particular, they eliminate some very good weapons from the field.
Archery: letoff limited to 65% no magnifying sights no electric or tritium powered attachments on bow or arrows (this illiminates electic sight pins)
Muzzleloaders (during muzzleloader-only season) no scopes no 209 primers
Rifles no electronic devices on rifle or scope (illiminates illuminated scopes and the new digital camera scopes) any centerfire calibers legal (you can use a 22 Hornet on moose or bear)
