In spite of all the new records and big bucks taken in the past 10yrs or so, this one still holds my heart as having the qualities I admire most.

the G2s are the longest tines. That's a rare item in world class bucks.

It's kind of strange. I saw a couple of deer this year that were of much better quality than the Heart Attack buck, in terms of more typical classical lines. The Heart Attack buck resembles a buck I hunted for 3 years, really the first world class buck, I'd seen in the wild. The combination of width with that massively thick main beam coming back around and the number of points. The tallest browtines I have yet to see. I remember like it was yesterday when he came up the wrong damned trail, having to put his nose nearly down to the ground and tilting his head back for his massive rack to clear the adjacent black cherry trees. I remember counting the 6 points on the one side and noticing the stickers and kickers. It was an amazing experience, how it hits you, first the width, so far out past the ears, then the mass of the main beams curling back and then the huge tall bowtines and then the # of points and then the extra garbage.
This will probably sound sick, but it's right up there, with the first time you're with a sensuous beautiful woman.
So I am forever wrecked in terms of my bias.

nc, have you seen something like that in the wild that has shaped your view? I'm not sure what you mean by "your view" unless it's my desire for perfect symmetry in that certain shape. ;D I've seen a few I'm sure were Booners but I think 'my view' is formed more from the overall scope of all the trophys I've seen on display and I've seen far more than most I'm sure. If I could get my scanner to communicate ... The heavy nontypical antlers with lots of stickers are awesome no doubt and I'll love the encounter but my envisionment of the perfect buck goes to the Petry buck. I've never seen one prettier anywhere.

Do you know where the Breen buck was killed?
I've found out almost exactly where the Petry buck was killed in Flathead County, Montana. If I ever hit the lottery, I'm goin there just to look see if nothing else. ;D
