John have you seen this before. I figured if anyone has you have. Here is the post from MBS forum I picked up.
Slept in today. But got up around 8 and took to the rainy foggy turkey woods for hopes of stubbling on a bird. Well within 1 hour after getting out of bed i was stubbling down the trail with a nice Tom. 10 1/4 beard 1 inch spurs.....

First tom i ever shot with a regrown spur...1 spur was old but the other was new and still not hard??? never saw this before..maybe he got his *** kicked by a big boy.....lol

Spurs are like horns on a sheep. They are permanent. The spur you look at is actually a sheath . More than likely he injured it fighting.
