I was informed by a friend who fishes out there and stays on the Maryland side of the river camping that he herd at least 10 Toms going off over on the island. He was fishing out there last weekend and saw allot of birds along the edge. SO Tonight under the stairs and in the morning maybe bang bang !

Just BANG ! LOL
. Sitting here waiting to head out and the winds are picking up , strong gust are not for me on the river. I have been out their when the wind picks up and it is no fun! I think I'll find myself sitting along the river and waiting. Either that or it's an evely morning wake up to get out there. Either way I want to be on the river.

Now I wonder if Dave went across the river and has a tent up on the other side, little campfire for some heat. That would be a great lone adventure before the snakes become too active. Great country we live in to be able to have access to that kind of adventure almost in the shadows of DC.

Man it was a great evening ! I got out about 5 PM and scouted found allot of sigh but when evening came I couldn't get a gobble. I found a remote area to throw up the dog blind to sleep in and this morning I went to 3 diffenten places I scouted and couldn't get one gobble. I know the birds are there by nothing. Plenty of Woodie's and gease , deer, Red Winged Black birds and thanK God for therma Cell ! LOL. Maybe in the morning I can locate them. I'll head futher up the island in the morning. I can get to that area in 15 Min's from the parking area.
