Will the unusually warm spring affect the breeding season or is the timing related to daylight or something else?

NC, My experience has been if spring is early, so will be the breeding. For here in Kentucky, I think an early spring provides for better hunting by the time our season opens on 4/15. By then most of the breeding is over, contrary to what most hunters believe. And a lonesome gobbler usually means a dead one and I'm talking the mature birds.
