I saw 2 hens and a jake. the jake was easy pickens as it was only 25 yards from me. i let it walk , no need to shoot a juvenile came home to get ready for work and out back of the shed i hear "gobble gobble " . i left it alone (had to go) i'll have to go out back tomorrow morning and see if its worthy of my #5's . gonna go out after eating here and see if i can roost it. it was right around my ladder stand this morning lol

well i tucked him in . i heard it fly up and it gobbled 7 or 8 times once a double gobble, pretty sure its a mature tom. its in the far corner of the woods from my house . i shouldnt have any trouble getting in place , i'm gonna set up north of him , they should head to the power lines my guess first thing. we'll have to see what happens i guess .

they went towards the ditch instead of the power lines grrrrr. i had him gobbling but he just wouldnt leave the hens. later about 9:30 i had him on the hook again. he double gobbled and i just knew he was gonna come in .. he just couldnt bring himself to come back across the ditch. i probably could have snuck up to the ditch clearing and maybe got a shot , but it would have been too close to my neighbors house across the ditch. he gobbled nearly everytime i would call until about 10:15 and i had to leave and go to work. he was working his way towards the back field and i just didn't have the time to mess with him. he'll be around tomorrow , he did sound like a mature gobbler, never did get a looksy at him though.

Good Job Aro, tell your buddy congrats too. i got busted this morning out back making a move. the land is kinda restrictive for a run and gunner like myself, just got too antsy. i had him gobbling but he was hung up again and must have spotted me. i had a hen within 20 feet of me that didnt even see me later on , go figure.post up some pics in another thread ;D i'm not too worried just yet, i believe they are pretty henned up still and the big ones are yet to be killed. gonna take a friends son out in the morning who has never gone, gonna give him the first shot or try for a double
