I, along with my brother Todd and a friend and his wife Julie, went on a bow hunting hog hunting trip in Texas. Julie got a bonus and harvested a ram. Here are the pics. Julie and her Ram Todds hog 159 lbs...missing something..it was a boar.... My hog 170 lbs...yes I was hot dragging this thing out to the road..

For tablefare I'd rather have the hog. ;D I've never killed a goat that wasn't in the pen. I would imagine bowhunting them could be tricky. I finally saw some of the ferrel hogs here in eastern NC. I was down on Pocosin Lakes Refuge and saw some small ones. I don't guess they get as big here as the ones I killed in Arkansas.

For tablefare I'd rather have the hog. I agree with you 100%..the ram is stringy like a goat...it makes good sausage though... I prefer hog over the ram for eating and over whitetail as well...
