Here's the Maryland Bowhunter's Society T-Shirt for the shoot April 30th at Izaak Walton. For ten bucks you get in the door to participate in the many activities going on, and you get a T-shirt too! Not a bad deal.

couple of questions about the event. What is the entry fee to the 3D tourney? Are IBO rules adhered to regarding speed limits and max target range? What are the top place prizes?

Bowman - I'll have to ask Pete Marino about your questions. I just don't know. Cliff (IWL) was complaining about IBO regs so much I'm pretty certain that the course is IBO compliant. No idea on bow speed limits. This is billed as a "fun shoot" so I wouldn't expect big prizes. I would expect some competition, but you are shooting pretty well, so theres a chance that if you shoot well under pressure, you could win something. Check out animalconnection.us for a link to a webpage describing the shoot. Then you'll know everything I know about it.

I don't know the address, but from Poolesville, MD follow West Willard Road about 5 miles or so out of town and then turn right on Izaak Walton Way. It's not far to the gate marked Archery/3D on the right side of the road.
I'll try to find the address, but bet you could google it up pretty quick.

The $10 cost at the gate gets you a T-shirt and a round on the IBO course. Extra T-shirts are $5 each. Don't expect big cash prizes for the IBO. It's really for fame and glory. ;D There are some other shooting contests that cost extra and are pot-splits for the winner. Details on the site link.
