can someone explain this in english to me. why do you need certain spine? and what exactly it the spine? how do you determine what you need.

Spine is the stiffness of the arrow. It is a standard measure of deflection, I think at 28". The stiffer the arrow the less deflection. I believe the 3-71s are .300 deflection whereas the 7595s and the 3-60s are .340.
In terms of determining what you need, experience gets you there. But generally I would say that 67lbs and 28" draw and a hard cam, you need at least .340 to get clean field point flight, closer to 70+lbs and 29+inches and you start getting closer to needing .300 especially if you're using a conventional fixed head. This is in the case of a mechanical release. There are other issues with fingers that perhaps others can comment on as I'm pretty ignorant reagrding that.
Now there are a lot of guys using a weaker spine and will get good flight with field points but as soon as they screw on the fixed heads they really can't tune their bow, they just adjust their sights and really have a compromise tune that they have adjusted out. They might be a little to the left at 20 and a little to the right at 40.
Personally with a release I find a little more spine more forgiving. I also find speeds much above 280 more critical. So that factors into it a bit as well as the heavier spined arrow is usually a little heavier.

so the lower the # the stiffer? so when you guys suggest my 3-60's are wrong and i should get the 3-71's your saying the 3-60's are to stiff? why do my cx300's shoot better? just trying to understand this.
smaller guys with less draw length and poundage need stiffer arrows? the heavier the poundage the less stiff of an arrow you need? more wobble makes it fly better?

I think you've got it backwards.

The shorter the arrow the less wabble. Like a dart!

The reason your CX-300's shoot better is because they have the same spine as the 3-71's with is also 300. The arrow co. don't use a standard set of numbers. If you use BlackHawk's the 3000's are the lighter spine and 5000's are the heavier. The Gold Tips use the 35-55,55-75 and 75-95 system, but even then it doesn't always mean you can just pick the no. range and have the right arrows. In the Easton/Beman's the 300=3-71 and the 3-60=340's. These charts are just to get you in the ball park. Different bows act different and a lot depends on your shooting skills. If your a very smooth shooter with a nice smooth release you can get away with a little lighter arrow. But like someone else said, any mistakes with light equipment and it magnifies the problems. Your better going a little heavier than a little too light.

those are some purdy arrows. The yellow and black kinda reminds me of the old Herters cedar arrows.
