Shot some tonight to compare arrows in the new bow and see which ones it likes the best. shot goldtips pro hunters , easton accs, and goldtip nugents all at 30 yards. the first set of the night but it dont seem to like the goldtips like the darton did. it did seem to like the nugents though. it also liked the accs and I liked the way they shot too.

Another set I shot of the accs at 40 yards , I'm not concerned with fine tuning the bull just yet, just groups. I stepped up to 30 and shot my best set of the evening. "The Beast" likes the accs .

That's quite a bit of difference. I would have figured the gold tips to group better.

I had an interesting experience recently comparing the 3-71s and the 7595s. We tried the 3-71s with the Rocky Ti85, with 85 grain Slick Tricks and 100 grain Slick Tricks. We shot my buddies Mathews Featherlight, 70lbs 28" draw. With the 3-71s I was drilling the Rocky ti85s, but he was all over the place. He tried the Slicktricks on the 3-71s and it was the same deal. We then put the Slick Tricks on the 7595s and he was drilling them like field points.
He could not control the 3-71s. I think that it depends on your form. If you have form flaws the weaker arrow is going to recover quicker, whereas the stiffer 3-71s will exagerate them. If your form is good, the 3-71s are a more consistent arrow and will let you take advantage of your skills and will control fixed head flight much better.
There's no comparison for me in terms of fixed heads. The 3-71s control a conventional fixed head to the point that I get field point grouping. I never could get that performance out of the 7595s and a conventional fixed head.

This brings the question of feathers vs vanes to mind. Feathers recover and vanes exasperate flight issues. btw, I've watched Rick shoot and I would classify his form as very consistant and good so your theory seems to hold true.

That's quite a bit of difference. I would have figured the gold tips to group better. I sorta figured they would too, it was the first set and i could have not been warmed up enough. I'm going to keep trying them and see which the new bow likes. Its not a bad thing if i don't shoot the goldtips out of it, the darton really liked them and i'll just sight it in with them. the nugents were Barbs and cut at 28 instead of 29. I'm gonna use the accs with the new bow since it seems to prefer them, i'm pretty sureanyways lol.I've got time to get it right yet. now to fine tune the sight and shoot some more broadheads out of it.

Nice group there at 30 BTW. The back tension tip really helped. since I shortened my draw length some its easy to get some tension on it. now i got to remember to do it everytime
