Went out last Saturday night 08/12/06 and caught some nice Largemouth Bass.I was waiting until the weather broke and cooled off some and it worked. They were really biting.I didn't get any pics(sorry)but a few were in the three pound range and this was on a private lake in Ohio.I use to fish this lake alot when my ex-wife and I were building a house up there but I hadn't been back up there in 15 years or more.I believe the fishing is only going to get better from here on out around our area.I know there for a few fishing trips it was rough to just get a bite going.Good luck to anybody going out soon.

Jeff, your post says night. Were you fishing after dark or late afternoon/ evening?

Night fishing for Largemouth Bass.We got there about 8:30pm and left at 4:30am.The lake we go to doesn't have alot of shore cover like grass so I found out about 15 years ago when I use to fish this lake that the big boys like to come up from the deep at night, especially in the late summer when the water temps get high.
Just went Friday after work.Got there about 8:00pm and left around 5:00am.We caught alot of Bass.I had two get off at the boat that would have went 4.5 to 5.0 lbs. They weren't biting as good as the trip before and it seemed they were just biting at the end of my baits,so that left me with a bad hookset. We got plenty of others to the boat just not as big.
