went out this afternoon a bit late for high tide and didnt have much luck. people all around me were catching their fill of pesky skates lol, sorta glad i didnt have to keep taking them off and rebaiting lol. got a few pictures today and will get some tomorrow. i'll post them up tomorrow night . Despite getting skunked the family and i still had a great time, the weather was beautiful today.

what the hell! lol! your fishing without the saltwater mod . id come all the way down there and fish with ya and get a hotel. whats going on! i seriously want to start surf fishing

hey Todd, your welcome to come down anytime our schedules are both ok. no need to stay at a hotel, I'll set up the Apache for ya and you can stay in it. a word of warning though these Apaches are catchy lol ask NC. I'll let you know when the action starts to pick up. been slow up and down the island from what i saw. may have just been a couple of bad days in a row but not real sure. I'll slide out later in the week and give it a try weather permitting. I caught a few skates and a small dogshark. pictures all were crappy because of water on the lens or something. did get one of a skate top and bottom view lol. not real big but my daughter caught it.

I'm going out tomorrow, i hope to see those sika bucks i saw the other week and get some good pictures of them. the big flounder are just starting to move in , the coastal fisherman has a 30 inch 10.2 lber on the cover . indian river bay is really producing some big ones right now.

ya know ive never caught a flounder. i wouldnt even know how to skin it right. i seen it done on tv once

well made my way back home... never got a nibble and never saw 1 person pull anything in at all the water was a lot warmer than last week, i could go in to my waist without too much trouble. I'd say it was around 68 degrees or so, lots better than the way it felt last week.don't understand where the fish are this year

i say two more weeks and the blues will be in the surf. rick were going to tear'em up this fall. hunt during the day and surf fish for big rock after dusk. "surf-n-turf"

first cast i caught a skate ... that was it for the day lol only saw one other skate taken that is all. got a few pics i'll try and post up.might go out tomorrow not real sure just yet. no action sucks but luckily there are other sights to look at .
