You can find some good information on modern muzzleloading on the hpmuzzleloading.com web site. The link below discusses the new Hornady SST bullet (aka T/C Shockwave). I've tried these in a 45/40 Sabot in the White M97, and they are extremely hard to load in that gun. They printed well, but with the occasional flyer. More testing is needed in that gun. I've got some 50/40 sabots and will try them in the Encore this year... I'm thinking of setting the Encore up to be my long-range gun, and using an SST in the 200-250gr range, with powder to get 2000 fps would get me close to a MPBR of about 190 yds... with a zero of 3" high at 100 yds. www.hpmuzzleloading.com/Technical4.htmlAnother page on the hpmuzzleloading site discusses the most popular guns on the market, and is worth a read if you're considering buying an in-line ML.
