Seneca, Monocacy, and Patuxant, I've all hunted. In bow-season they are pretty lightly used.

Haven't been there yet but I'd like to check Millington out.
At 3800 acres, you could walk for a week and not cover it all. It's a WMA also and from what I've seen the WMAs are more gamey.
I don't know but I expect it gets pressure during all seasons.
If you want to hunt high numbers of deer, I suggest Montgomery County before the gun seasons. Twanger clued me in on a place up there and I saw excellent numbers of deer early season. Actually I saw lots of deer everywhere in Montgomery county during early season. Different after ML season though.

go figure you pick a place i've never been to. i can say kent county is good everywhere, lots of deer . there are lots of deer everywhere on the eastern shore though. Todd (eshoremd) can probably help ya out a little . i'm sure hes been to it before he lives closest. most places have very little pressure early or at least after giving up the first few days. looks like lots of access from all the parking spots on the map. i've been scouting at sassafras wma before and it looked real nice, lots of good sign and some big buck sign.

i have never hunted millington wma. the private land i hunt and stay at is right down the road. ive drove around in there a thousand times. it seems all the, "less than average hunters" hunt there. it just seems through my past experiences talking with hunters in that area that way to many people hunt millington. you can easily tell when talking to another hunter whether or not they have a clue. seems all the ones that dont, hunt millington. very popular place. if thats where you want to hunt i would suggest hunting the delaware portion of that area called blackiston. way less pressure. drove around in there plenty too but only hunted it once. i shot a doe with my 20g. this was the first year i purchased a de. license. the area is very nice and i also found the biggest set of deer tracts ive ever seen in there mid-nov. delaware also has a cheaper out of state license and bow season start sept 1st. if i was you and really wanted to come to md. i would suggest montgomery county also.

This is one of those places that has lots of deer early season and almost none late season. I found more deer along the road than way back toward the river. Extremely heavy deer kill here during ML season so I advise hunting before then. www.dnr.state.md.us/publiclands/central/mb.aspThe only camping I found in Mont Co is at Little Bennett Park and they close during the winter, but early season it's open. www.mc-mncppc.org/parks/enterprise/park_facilities/little_bennett/bencamp_fees.shtmMaryland isn't so merry for campers during hunting season it seems and campground info is hard to find. (They want you to rent at the hi-dollar motels I think.) There may be campgrounds I don't know of but here's a list of parks, etc; www.mc-mncppc.org/parks/park_maps/map_pages/index.shtmMaryland is missing the boat on a lot of tourist dollars by not providing adequate primitive campgrounds for winter hunters. It's the primary reason I don't hunt Mont Co late season.
