Rain has run us back home for a bit, so I thought I'd show off the two jobs we're doing now. First is a ranch style. I like em when the whole house won't fit in a pic. ;D btw, all these pics are the 'Before' pics. here's the other job we're into. slight degree of difficulty on this one. Working in a saturated market now with stiff competition, these kinds of jobs are blessings. I'll post the 'After' pics in a few days.

That last one looks kind of like a job we did a few years ago. It was roofed with metal but she didn't like it, plus it was a lousy job. We tore it off and shingled with architecturals. The trick was that it was in Stanley, ID (high mountains)...in January. The warm days were up to 0. The cold ones were close to -10. Ever tried to cut frozen 40 yr architecturals with a chain saw? A knife sure won't do it. It had it's compensations, though. I didn't take this, but it's the view from the roof. This was taken in warmer weather. Dick

Dave, I have no problem but like I said, it isn't mine. I don't know who took it. I picked it up on the web because it's the same place as where we were working. Do a seach on Sawtooth Mountains or Stanley, ID and you'll come up with lot's of photos of that range. It's one of the really spectacular places in the country.

Did you ever see the Budweiser commercial where the horses were playing football? Notice the background..same mountain range. It was filmed near where we roofed this house. Or how about Clint Eastwood's movie "Pale Rider". It was shot a few miles south of here in the Boulder Mtns. It's the same type of scenery.

In a word...nasty. I always hated jobs where you couldn't even set a shingle down without it sliding. It really slows things down when you have to keep moving the toeboard that holds your coffee cup and doughnut.
