I was led to believe that you cannot file bankruptcy after such a financial expense. I work with a girl who's bankruptcy was denied because a week before court she maxed out her credit cards. It was the funniest thing ever. It probably varies from state to state. I know it happened to my friend about 5 years ago. Could be that the state laws have changed since then. Congress just passed that law reducing the ability to file bankruptcy on credit card debt. Congress has been criticized for protecting the big money banks with that law, but they were getting hit for mega-millions by individuals who were too stupid and too immoral to control their own spending. I think the law was needed. Dick

what i cant stand is people like donald trump. guy owns 5 or 6 different corps and sends money from one to the other , then files bankruptcy. in the meantime he buys a 1/2 million dollar car . just plain wrong.
