Back in the 70's, I had an Ithaca double barrel 12 ga. It was a fantastic gun but it didn't fit me at all. I couldn't hit anything. I used it for ducks for 3 or 4 years and missed far more than I hit. I finally traded it for a Win 1300 that fit me much better and my % of hits increased dramatically. The dealer definitely got the best of the trade, but I don't regret it a bit. What good is a gun that you can't shoot?

The very first shotgun I bought was an Ithaca automatic 12ga with a 30" fc. Good lightweight gun for the price, I think it was 130 at the time.
It would sure loosen your nose sockets if you didn't hold it though. I refused to let anyone shoot it without a stern warning about the recoil.
