Since I renewed my interest in a hunting bike, I've been watching ebay and have been amazed at the old classics I see go so cheap. These old bikes are many times better than the crap walmart sells and cheaper too. Looking at them takes me back many years when I once practically lived on my Columbia. While we lived out in the county, it was only about 3 miles to school and I rode my bike every day since it was faster than riding a bus. The first deer I could have ever killed while hunting, I was riding my bike when it popped out. Of course it was a doe and back then doe's were protected but it fired me up enough that I'm still after em some 40yrs later. I've got a bike I picked up at a yard sale for cheap that I'll convert to a hunting bike for now but since there are so many nice classics going thru ebay I thought I'd run this thread and post pics of the ones I find appealing as they go thru. Dick, I think I'll leave it home if I head out that way. ;D Over here, much of the land we have access to is timber company land. Nearly always there are good roads into it but the gates are closed and locked. Some of these pulpwood roads go for miles and often come up behind farms and crop fields scattered around the perimeter of the block. Bicycles provide a good means of accessing vast areas most other hunters deem as too far to walk.
