The cushions are ncboman Labs vibration arrestors. sorry I didn't take pics as I went to show the engineering masterpiece the framework is. ;D Made of angled aluminum saved from old storm doors. Had to buy 2 U bolts. Actually the biggest pain to it all is getting the beast into my truck. I had some bumper carriers but I fear they may have went to a church yard sale. I can't find em and mama isn't sayin much.

How was the little bike ride there NC ? i found mine to be very fun to ride on the soggy pine needles . very exilerating to say the least. i didnt have anything but the bow with me i couldnt imagine carrying in a stand. would work for paved roads ,pretty sure of that but i'll just walk on in myself .

What a lesson I got Sunday afternoon. ;D Since it was wet most of last week, the bike got put on the back burner but Sunday turned out to be a fine day for a ride and I had just the place to put it to the test in the Cordery tract. There's well over a mile of good paths behind the gate so I took the bike in to look it over. Started out good enough but the farther in I went, the tuffer it got. Pine needles over a somewhat hard sand path became a spongy ride back in the woods and weeds also became a factor of resistance. I got way back in there and found I was getting beat pretty badly. I even considered leaving the whole rig back there and walking out at one point but kept pressing on, going even deeper. Had to see if one of those paths came out to a road anywhere. They didn't. I wound up riding out under the bright moon and after many rest stops finally got back out to the truck. I was one whipped puppy by then, completely exhausted. When I got in the truck I remember thinking that bike is the best ticket to a heart attack I've seen so far. My legs were on fire and I was shot down big time. Wound up waking up an hour and a half later somewhat revived but my legs are still a little sore. I cannot remember ever being so shot down from a venture into the field. The bike is still a good idea on hard roads but I found it isn't the answer all the time. The main issue I have is hauling the contraption around. It just takes way too much space in the truck and until I find a bumper carrier, it will be left behind on further ventures. A man could easily kill himself way back in the boonies on this thing.
