just wondering how many wise members use rechargables for just about everything? i've just switched over since spending bundles of money on batteries it seems. the rechargables last longer too a bonus ;D

I try to use the 15 minute rechargeables from Eveready for all my hunting stuff.I just have a problem keeping up with where I put them or what I put them in. I believe they are around 12 dollars for a four pack, but I can charge them up in 15 minutes and not have to wait around too long.

About a year ago I bought a new camera and noticed how fast it was eating energizers so I posted about it and was directed in several directions so after studious research I decided on this site to buy from. There are other good ones out there but this was my pick. www.thomas-distributing.com/index.htmMy reading indicated not all batteries and chargers are the same and being a rather fruggle person, I definately didn't want to throw good money down the drain. (We all remember the worthless chargers of years ago and I didn't want to get sucked into that again.) Long story short, I wound up buying this charger; www.thomas-distributing.com/maha-powerex-mh-c204w-nimh-battery-charger.htmThis charger is everything they say it is and absolutely changed my view on rechargable batteries. My camera now operates for virtually nothing and does a much better job as well as take many more pics per charge than with the old disposable batteries. I ordered 4 batteries with the charger and soon thereafter bought 4 more from walmart so now I power my camera, 2 GPS units and a flashlight with rechargables. One of the better moves I've made in the electronics area of hunting. The batteries themselves are not all the same either and it pays to read up on the offerings and buy batteries of a high rating. I have 4 of the 2300 mah rating and 4 of the 2500 mah rating and can't tell any difference in performance between them. They all last a long time between charges and give much much better service than disposables. I have noticed they perform better freshly charged than after being left sit up for a couple of months. I figure my charger and batteries have more than paid for themselves in savings by now and the enviroment is better off too since I'm not constantly throwing batteries away anymore. Rechargables are the way to go these days.

Yep. I use NiMH AA rechargables for alot of things. Particularly for digital cameras which REALLY eat batteries. -w
