Well me and SCtrkyhntr got all liscensed up yesterday and managed to get 7 fox sets made and three otter/beaver sets. This morning we made our first and second catch . We got a nice medium sized female bobcat and a cottontail that in truth probably instigated the whole bobcat catch. Heres a little video explaining the goings on this am. www.americasoutdoorsman.com/trapping-06-bobcat.html

Thanks Tim, I wish we would have had some better light to film in. In truth it was getting light fast but with overcast skies and heavy fog along with our totally unproffessional lighting job were kinda lucky you can even see the cat. Were going to run the line a bit later tomorrow and Sunday.
This morning was kinda odd too. Theres some ponys in the pasture that we caught that bobcat in and they came in and stomped the heck out of my traps and tore up the whole area surroundign the sets.
Nothing but a couple grinners on the line this morning, not suprising with the overnight temps staying in the sixties.

It raining right now so tomorrow mornings catch will probably be pretty slim too. The good news is its going to cool off dramatically the next few nights and I got a new property with plenty of bobcats and yotes we are going to trap this weekend.

Experience tells me we got fox in the sets this morning. The wind died down and its crisp. Good prediction on yesterday , nada thing in the sets and nare a bit of fresh sign since the rain, the predators laid low last night.Truthfully right now is the first real good trapping weather I have seen so far. see you round 7 am, we should have some fox to box this morning.
