Good Job NC, looks like its in pretty good shape too. like i said that hinge thing can be fixed in a half hour once you get it here. i had extra when i changed mine out and it is a very simple process to do. cant wait to see it. nice price for it too, gives you a little remodeling money ;D

oh by the way even though it says its a 74 and the title may even say that i am nearly 100% sure it is a 77 or a 78 . i have done some very intense research on these when i bought and repaired all the little glitches on mine. the paint color tells me it is a 77 or a 78. wont be exactly sure till i see it but if it is "apple green" i am correct. if it is an olive green it will be an earlier model. Welcome to the world of APACHE OWNERS.

you need to ask, but all of these campers use a 2 inch ball, unless the front hitch was changed. you also need to ask what type of light connector it has ie a flat 4 is pretty normal but this varies, some have a flat 5. others that have been modified take different ones than those.

being on dialup cost me $140. I believe it uses a 2" ball and the connector is the 4 prong type. I'm almost sure it won't work on my truck hookup. What should I do about that? Also the brake lense is broken on the camper so there may be a repair even if the wire hookup can be made. I'll rig something up so it has brake lights before I move it far. Right now, I'm hopeful of pickup on Wed morning. I've got to allow enough time to pull it to Ricks in daylight.

i believe i read in the questions people asked on the auction , she said it had a 6 plug harness. push more on the questions and read the last one, 6 plug harness. guess what you are in luck i have an extra lens cover also . are you worried about the levelness of the hitch when hooked up? is that what you are questioning about when you stated you know it wont work on your truck?? i needed a 4 inch drop hitch on my truck and it rides perfect. i cant quite remember if your truck sits a little higher or not.

they make different adaptors for the factory connectors any auto parts store has them. you probably have a 7 way factory on the truck. it is a 2" ball. call me if you need some more help .

you're right. ------------------------------- No, I was talking about the wiring connections. I'm not worried about leveling it. My trailer hitch has the offset insert.

Congrats. After many years of tenting in nasty weather, I'm getting spoiled with a camper. It's sure nice to pull into camp at 11 PM in the rain and be in bed in 30 min instead of pounding tent pegs.

Dick or pulling one of my stunts; falling to sleep in the cab of the truck before the grub is cooked, waking up at 2 in the morning, starving and still in my hunting clothes.

Well, NC brought the apache here over last weekend and i must say he got a very good deal. a few fixem ups and it should last another 30 years or so. it is amazing how fast they pop up and fold back down though probably one of the best popups around for hunting. if you can find a good one

yup, almost insulting to call them popups. ;D One reason I've been shy about full size campers is the overall size and the pain of towing one long distances on relatively unknown roadways and in traffic. The Apache is a breeze and so far only affected gas milage about 1 mpg or less. kinda funny, I went into Pa to get it and upon looking it over, I discovered something interesting. ;D The camper is just about perfect for me. In good enough condition to be functional yet still has some areas that can be fixed up here and there. I now see what all the hubbub over Apache's is all about. Makes these forum hunts all the more pleasant.
