Anybody know where I can get the cables that go from the foot platform up to the back of the stand? This is for the Gorilla King Kong Lock on stands.

Jeff give them a call and tell them what happened . beside the fact they will replace it ( I would ask for 2 and replace both ) , they will also appreciate knowing that it failed. their number is (877) 685-7817

Thanks Rick. Now that I know I think I will replace all the ones I have.I don't blame Gorilla for this failure. The cables on this stand were rusty and I believe it got that bad from me transporting the stands a couple of years ago on my trailer and salt from the road got on it because I have a couple of stands that are really rusty at all the exposed areas.None of my other Gorilla's have rusted like the other two. I still plan on calling them though and explain what happened. It is never fun when you put all your weight on the platform and you hear a SNAPPING sound.I'am thankful the other side didn't go at the same time.

I hung one about two weeks ago and in looking at it yesterday I decided I'm going to take it down. Nothing wrong with the stand, it's just too catastrophic if something goes wrong.
I make a living up high and don't like Jonesing and I sure ain't gonna Jones in a deer stand.

I just got off the phone with Gorilla and they had the cables at $10.00 a pair. They recommend replacing the cables every three years, especially if you leave them outside.I know I will be inspecting my cables more often from now on.It would be more stable if that was a piece of metal instead of a cable but that would make it tougher to get the strap tight by folding down the platform last.
