welcome to the site Bernie. topics stay at the top a little longer here. ;D I'm lookin forward to meeting you, the Indian Lady, as well as all the other guys. I'm thinkin I should carry my notebook along with the camera so I can keep track of all the folks and everything I want to learn about. Very limited travel funds right now have me wanting to pack everything I can into this trip so I'm gonna to try to kill a bird or two on the easten shore before headin on up for the shindig. If I can get a few guys from here to take it in, I might not feel like such a stranger.

I wouldnt mind going up for a day, i doubt i'll have the time to stay the whole time. like you NC i have so much to learn . its been 27 years since i've shot a recurve , wow time sure flies. i'll have to keep these dates in the back of my mind being self emplyed means i cant schedule things too far ahead .

I'm hoping several of us can camp and take in the whole thing. It's a pretty good haul for me so if I can go, I'll try and be there for the entire deal. Going to be a lot of shootin. I hope my fingers are tuffened up to it by then. Even with my tab, my 3rd finger knows what I've been doin. ;D

Rick, I don't think you have to worry about the shooting. Trad clubs are entirely different than the typical 3D clubs. Often scores aren't even kept and half the fun is helping each other find arrows. The entire mindset is different and much more attractive IMHO. You'll be lookin at how someone did their arrows while they're lookin at how you did your Apache. ;D At an IBO shoot, often the best shot will be holding well over a grand in his hands. At a trad shoot, the best shot may well be shooting a stick of wood he found someplace for free. ;D I guarantee you'll find trad shooters much more friendly and agreeable to our mindset. High numbers of deer kills and high shoot scores ain't what it's all about at all. Plan on taking it in with me. You'll like it.
