Well, I couldn't let Rick get too far ahead of me so I had to step out and get me some too. ;D just a little 50# Damon Howatt Black Mamba.

I have an elcheapo hip quiver, but nothing to hunt with. I'll probably go with a removable bow quiver of some type for hunting. Back in the day I used a Kwikee like this one and liked it. The bow I bought has inserts for a quiver so I'll wait until I get it to see if my compound quiver will work on it. If not, a Kwikee may be what I choose. I'd still like to have a nicer hip quiver for the shoots but it's gonna have to wait. Perhaps I'll wind up making one.

Schweeeeet. You gonna come up here in the early season and stick one trad-style? I'm probably going to have to stick em local in Sept. Getting ready to build an office/bowshop out in the yard and we want an addition on the house too. I'm going to sell my rent house ( after some improvements) and if that goes well my outlook should brighten somewhat. Right now, everything is going out and income is down sharply from years past.

Take that old Kwikee Kwiver. Drill a small hole in the hood and one in the arrow holder and tie a long strap (I use a leather bootlace) on it there and sling it over your shoulder. That's what I've been using for the last two years. Works good, keeps your arrows under your arm and you can move it around wherever you need it. I carry mine hood first under my right arm (I'm right handed) like the G. Fred Asbell quiver that was shown in Traditional Bowhunter. I was using mine before he showed his and realized that my "cheapo" way of doing it was not a bad idea after all. Here's pics. That's the pantleg off an old pair of advantage camo pants I used for the fletching cover. Tied it on like this.

Those are four flint heads on those arrows. Here's pics of what I carried last season. The two on the left done by me and the two on the right by a friend.

thats a very interesting concept on the quiver. i can see that being very easy to tote around and easy once you get setup. I'll have to do that for hunting. the arrows look very nice too . this is going to be a very interesting endeaver indeed.

If you look in the second photo of the quiver, you can see a little loop tied in near the hood. That's there to hang it from limbs/ tree hooks while on stand. I'd recommend something like that. It lets you remove another arrow quietly if needed and keeps the quiver up next to the tree and positioned good. It's awful handy. I've tried three or four different setups and I keep gravitating back to this one for its utility.
