I get the economy size at walmart for the most part.3 butanes and 12 pads. in a pinch the local bowshop has them, also Eckard Drugs used to have them . I've found no big savings on the actual refills as of yet.

the thermacell site has a summer pack, 10 butanes and 30 pads for $50. buying single packs would cost you $70 for the same, buying the economy packs you would spend $60 for 9 butanes and 36 pads . which is the best buy gas is available in the hairdryer/curling iron section 2 tanks for $5 I believe. butane is also available through ebay , refills are also available but savings is a minimum from what i have seen lately. www.mosquitorepellent.com/category-refills.htmlin my neck of the woods its a must have. hunting was/wouldbe terrible until late oct sometime at the very least.

I read on another forum that some Food Lions have the refills on clearance for cheap. Might check all the stores that sell it for savings.

I can confirm the Food Lion deal. I just bought 5 refills for $3 each, half price. You have to have the bonus card to get them at that price. I should have bought all of them at that price , we use ours a lot. They had maybe 6 left and had the lanterns on sale for $11 something. they also had the handheld drab olive units but I didn't look to see what they were going for.

They may be hard to find, I happened across them near the checkouts. Can't beat half price and I will always use them up eventually.

I still haven't bought one so I still have all the stuff Rick gave me. I'll get one one day.
Haven't seen any such thing in the Food Lions around here.

I found the Thermacells at my local Food Lion!Refills on closeout and the units too,so I bought almost all.I may go back tonight and clean them out.I even bought the lantern on clearence. You have to have the MVP card that Food Lion has.I saved $89.14 on eight refills, two portable units and one lantern. That is hard to beat.I paid 5.99 plus tax for refills and close to twenty bucks for my first unit last year.
