Well on the road I live on there just aren't too many houses. I've been trying to get dsl herer for years since my dial-up only comes in at a whopping 28.8 k very frustrating to do anything around the computer. Not to mention when the wife or daughter would use they wanted or thought it should move along faster lol. after opening dozens of windows while clicking links while " waiting for this stupid thing to do something " , eventually they would zonk the puter till it froze . Finally after almost giving in to the directtv broadband , that i could get through my tv service, verizon is finally available. ;D Directtv was like 99 a month the first year (equipment payoff) and then $59 a month , which I thought was way much. I ordered verizon and hope things fall in place , they said they must check the phone line or something , which is archaic, hope its ok . should speed things along and bring me outta the stone age , did I mention 28.8 k

basically internet explorer needs an overhaul I believe. loaded mozilla and everything works great with it , no more little red x's . the dsl isnt cable but plenty fast enough and tons faster than what i was dealing with.

I've been running firefox for several years. There's not comparison. MS recently came out with IE7 with tabbed browsing. I tried it and firefox still is easier to use plus being more secure. There are some websites where firefox won't work but they're getting to be fewer all the time. If a webpage just won't work right or won't open, right click on the page and select 'view this page in IE'. That will open an IE page where you can see it.
