i just got home from a viewing and had one last night too. last wednesday night i had one buddy shot and killed by three blackies in brooklyn for $41 and another killed himself later that night. both had bad drug problems. we all grew up together, went through school together and stayed close till now. the two incedents were not related. it really sucks especially when their young. both my friends were my age, 31. both were creamated. rip chris and chet.

Always rough to lose friends , just gotta remember all the good times you had together. It will get better with time, not much but some. It's hard to lose friends that are close. keep the chin up and we can all pray for their families.

Couple of years ago a friend of mine went back in the woods and killed himself. We brought him out on my deer cart.
Since then I've lost a couple of more good friends. We hate to hear it but what can you do?

Sorry for your loss Todd.
Reminds me of some Hank Jr. lyrics...
I had a good friend in New York City He never called me by my name, just hillbilly My grandpa taught me how to live off the land And his taught him to be a businessman He used to send me pictures of the Broadway nights And I’d send him some homemade wine
But he was killed by a man with a switchblade knife For 43 dollars my friend lost his life Id love to spit some beechnut in that dudes eyes And shoot him with my old 45 Cause a country boy can survive Country folks can survive
