I don't think you want my son's receipe. He made some chili a couple of weeks ago and I can still taste it.

ok i hope you get a little time because this takes a bit of time to cook, like i said i normally fly by the seat of my pants so some proportions may vary to taste . it should end up very close but it should cook about 4 hours at least ...of coarse like any chili its better the following day . 1 1/2 lbs of hot italian sausage cut it into pieces about 1 inch. 2 1/2 lbs of ground beef i ussually use ground chuck 2 large 40 oz cans of light red kidney beans 1 large 40 oz can of dark red kideny beans 1 16 oz can of pork and beans ( i use bushes with bacon ) 3 large qt size can of hunts tomato sauce 1 16 oz can of diced tomatos 1 qt tomato juice 1 large green pepper 1 large onion salt and pepper 3 packages of chili seasoning ( i use frenches chili-o hot variety) Brown thouroughly the ground beef drain off fat. take 1 package after draining and add it right to the ground beef, stir it into the ground beef and cook it for a minute or two while stirring constantly.set aside . Brown the cut pices of italian sausage , drain and set aside. to a 10 or 12 qt pot add the 3 tomato sauce,1 diced tomatos ( i crush them in my hand as i add it smashing them more.), i then add the ground beef and sausage. next add the light and dark kidney beans (juice and all), and the pork and beans. stir it all up and add 1/2 to 3/4 ths of the tomato juice. stir in the other 2 packages of chili seasoning.next add the onions and green peppers. i dont like onions or green peppers lol but like the flavor in the chili so i cut them in big chunks and remove them after the 4 hours but thats just me .i add a few good shakes of black pepper and not much salt maybe 1/4 teaspoon . bring to a boil and then turn down flame and let simmer for about 4 hours. i always keep it covered for at least the first couple of hours and then i start letting it thicken by tilting the lid to let moisture out . you'll know when itss getting ready by the thickness. it should cook off quicker if the lid is left off the whole time but it may effect the flavor . i've never had an unhappy customer lol i would get an extra tomato sauce and light kidney beans if it looks it needs more beans or sauce add it lol i sorta gotta see it while its cooking , it should turn out ok

you should really try mine. its a lot like ricks but much better.
1 1/2 lbs of hot italian sausage cut it into pieces about 1 inch. 2 1/2 lbs of ground beef i usually use ground deer 3 large qt size can of hunts tomato sauce 1 16 oz can of ketsup 1 qt tomato juice 10 multi-vitamins crushed into powder 1 large chopped turkey breast 1lb. bacon salt and pepper 3 packages of chili seasoning ( i use frenches chili-o hot variety) 1/2 cup southern comfort
Brown thouroughly the ground beef drain off fat. take 1 package after draining and add it right to the ground beef, stir it into the ground beef and cook it for a minute or two while stirring constantly.set aside . Brown the cut pices of italian sausage, bacon, turkey and drain and set aside. to a 10 or 12 qt pot add the 3 tomato sauce, i then add the ground beef, sausage, bacon, and turkey. stir it all up and add 1/2 to 3/4 ths of the tomato juice. stir in the other 2 packages of chili seasoning. i dont like onions or green peppers so i dont use them. i add a few good shakes of black pepper, the crushed multi-vitamins, and lots of salt. then add a 1/4 cup of southern comfort and do a shot with the other 1/4 cup. bring to a boil and then turn down flame and let simmer for about 4 hours.
i always keep it covered for at least the first couple of hours and then i start letting it thicken by tilting the lid to let moisture out . you'll know when itss getting ready by the thickness. it should cook off quicker if the lid is left off the whole time but it may effect the flavor . i've never had an unhappy customer lol
there is a secret to the recipe but i cant come right out and tell ya. if you really look at the ingredients and compare it to other chilis youll be able to tell.
good luck
