I'm hot! As many Sika as I've seen when I wasn't hunting, including seeing one fairly regularly in the marsh by the Greenbelt metro stadium, I've never been within range of one hunting. I can't help but notice that folks who have venison are eager to share it . Nobody, but noobdeee, with Sika has ever offered me a scrap. Do you think maybe there's a message buried in that somewhere? I once worked with a guy from Colorado who I gave some corn-fed venison I killed in Loudoun Co. Va. He said it was the best venison he'd had but that I'd never eat venison again if I'd eaten elk. A few years later he took me to a resturant in Colorado when we were out there on business. We had the cow-elk steak. While my household still eats three or four whitetail a year, I'll never forget the elk, and would sure like to have some sika in my freezer.

Don't know how you access what's left of it. In the last six to nine months what looks to me like 120 acres of it about 200 yrd.s south of the station have been leveled for a shoppng mall or something. I last saw a sika in the marshy bit just south of the station about three months ago and I've seen whitetail more recently. I've also seen one coyote from the green line but that was a couple of miles south of Greenbelt.
