We have the gun season here this weekend I don't get out again till Wed but that is a recreational hunt with my bro-in-law. I don't get back to serious hunting till the day after Thanksgiving, provided the Training Center is open to hunting then. Man I am just chomping at the bit to get to it again.

Not today. The firearms season opened today. My plan was to stay out of my spots today and let the deer from the surrounding properties get pressured into the bedding area that is on the property I hunt. We'll see if my plan works out tomorrow morning. ;D

Not in about a week.I had a step-daughter admitted to the hospital Thursday afternoon.I was taking off this psat Friday to hunt but other priorities took over. She was released Saturday morning and my daughter had basketball tournament this weekend.Oh well I hope The Monster is waiting on my return.Hopefully Thanksgiving morning I can catch up to him.If not I'am taking a couple of days off at the start of Ohio's gun season to see if I can find him again.

I've been in the field guiding for 12 straight days. We've killed 7 bucks thus far but no real bruisers. Rut has been funny this year. There has not been 1 day where you could really say it was "ON". Seems to be drawn out.
I will be perching myself about 20ft up beginning tomorrow afternoon for the next 5 days with bow in hand and hoping I can line up a shot on a big one I've been seeing.
