Congratulations Todd ! Sorry I couldnt be there to see it happen. SCDave always has been good at picking a spot to sit that will allow you to kill things. Look forward to some pictures.

Congrats on your first bird!!
Nothing like being in the woods hunting, whether it is turkey, grouse, deer, squirrels, etc. There is just nothing like being one with nature and also sharing it with friends.

congrats again Todd, you guys should know Todd did a remarkable job of remaining absolutely motionless during a very tricky approach by the bird.

i prefer to call it a "deep hunt meditation". very tricky, but very deadly if done correctly.

Great intro. to the bedevilled world of turkey hunting!!!!Couldn't have done it any better way than the traditional meditative state. See sometimes wishing upon a star is good stuff!!!!! Oh yeah, do be careful of the thermo-cell, they can get hot and nasty when positioned against the body wrong, particulary when left on. Todd, great bird!!! Of-course any bird at this point would be nice for me, smelling the odor-de-skunk here in S.C. Hope to get a reprieve last few days left in Md. Be back soon, kinda like a dream, bad of-course. scdave
