Headed down to hunt with Bill Cartwright

I decided to turn it over to a pro and try to get my luck changed.Going down to hunt with Bill and hopefully get a kill on video.Good luck to everyone heading out this weekend and be safe.I hope to have some pics for you when I get back.

No doubt Bill knows his birds. he has some excellent calls he puts together also. he is a top notch woodsman, you will learn a few things this weekend . we want pics

Unfortunately I did not turn Jeff's luck around. We found birds to be fairly tight lipped on Saturday. Light frost and windy. The birds did pick up Sunday morning even though temps were in the low 30's. We worked a few gobbling birds, but they just wouldn't allow us to seal the deal. By mid morning the wind picked up and the gobbling ceased. I could not get a bird to gobbler nor did we have luck moving around changing setups and having a bird come in silently. Well there was this one bird that while we were standing discussing where we were going to flop down at showed his head about 20 yards away and then took flight. Sorta took the wind from our sails.

It was a good time and we hunted hard. I don't know who's ass was most sore, mine, Jeff's or MIB's.

I''ve got to thank Bill for his hospitality and getting me on some birds.We had a great hunt and came close on a couple of occasions,but we just couldn't get them to play the game we wanted to play.

Man my butt is sore.I know now I got to sew some kind of cushion into my hunting vest seat.

Bill has some great land down there so if anybody needs a chance to hunt some Turkeys or Deer than I wouldn't hesitate to book a hunt with Bill.
