I'm a fan of friction calls and carry several pots in my vest, pants pocket, etc. One of the issues I've always had is keeping them from clinking around (aluminum) while walking etc, whether they were in the same pocket or not.
For some reason when sorting through my camera bag I took one of my pots and slipped it in a drink koozie (neoprene type). For what reason I do not know, just did it and then a light bulb went off. This is what I need to slip all of my pot calls into. Not only does it quiet them in your vest, but it also adds a little protection to some of those nice woods used.
Just a little something I thought I would share. Again, maybe someone else has already had the thought, but it was unique to me. I went to wally world and picked up a dozen plain black ones for .68 cents each. You can find them in various camo as well.

excellent tip Bill, clanking in the vest as you stated can tip birds off, that you dont even know are within ear shot, i do like that idea of the neopream, i also slip pots or any other potential noisy things, into a cotton glove, usually carry alot of extra gloves, that works too, also the tighter a vest is packed, meaning no big gaps in a vest, ( Doesn't mean over load your vest ) i have been out with many folks that i call pots and pans, they walk through woods, like there banging cooking pans together, LOL its funny because most likely there the ones doing the shooting, and there's no need for them to carry a single call, usually i try and discourage folks from bringing any calls with them if i'm taking them hunting, its a hard sell somtimes, but they usually understand when they have a longbeard tucked away in there game vest, after a morning hunt !!!!
