I killed a 180 lb. sow Friday afternoon with my .243 using 100gr. Core-Locks. This was hog #75 with the .243.
The shot was from 165 yards standing broadside ,the bullet hit the edge of the front leg bone and deflected back and up. It took out the lungs and top of the liver and exited at the seventh rib on the far side and about three inches from the spine. The hog ran about sixty yards.
I lured the hogs out of the brush by spreading peanut butter on a tree trunk.
