I shot some heads through some 3/8 inch plywood. Since I was going to shoot the sonic free head through it ,I figured what the hell shoot some other heads too.Heres what I found. Muzzy 125 grain. good penetration and no damage visible. up close, very little damage to the blades, still fairly sharp. the trocar tip shows no signs of anything .

Next Up Rocky Mt 85 grain Titaniums: better penetration than the 125 muzzy, I didnt measure but it was more. Initial look at head showed no damage visible. The blades took the hit very well because of their size I believe and were still sharp enough to kill a deer I reckon.

Next up Rocky Mt 125 grain Titanium : penetration was visibly less than the 2 previous heads but cleared the plywood and left a big hole. it did however have visible damage to the blades. they blades rolled over pretty well and was dull with some chunks missing although small. more to come in Part 2
