Probably the biggest fish in the river out back is carp so I've been looking around at what it takes to catch them. In doing so I've found there are some pretty dedicated carpers on the internet. One of the sites I found is based out of Md so I thought I'd share the link; www.chesapeakecarper.com/Looks like there is somewhat of a learning curve in catching them but I'm gonna try it and see what I can do. I can't believe all the years I've fished these waters and never got into it. I understand a 20+ pound carp on the line is a real bull of a fish. I'm anxious to see how this goes.

I know folks get fancy with hair rigs, boilies, etc, but I never had any trouble catching them as a kid on plain old yellow corn (canned).Sometimes I'd pre-chum (can'o corn, with some nail holes, lobbed out ahead of time)
Now bowfishing for carp ;D
Actually, locals here have a bow tourney for cow nosed rays every summer. They've been all over the place.Right up on surface on flat calm mornings.
