I don't think it's bear crap. Bear crap is bigger and more round.

What it looks like will vary with the time of year. In the spring, much of their feed has a much higher water content than it does later in the year. They're eating leaves and grass, not berries & nuts.

I don't think it's bear crap. Bear crap is bigger and more round. Also bear often like to back up around some roots or the base of a tree but I do see it in woods paths from time to time too. I'm thinking perhaps this was a young bear as it's near where I've found more 'normal' bear crap in the past. Then again, I'm not absolutely for positive sure it's from a bear at all.
