I’ve done some traveling across North America and Africa. I am an author of a few hunting books that cover topics like: how we can help ensure the future of hunting in the 21st century, hunting's origins, hunting ethics, fair chase, wildlife management, conservation practices, our ecosystem and how it relates to quality habitat, the effects of political pressures on hunting, and a look at the anti-hunting and eco-terrorist agendas. I also have had my family to Africa on safari with me (my wife, teenage son, 12 year-old daughter, and “grand ma” too.) My work has been reviewed by the likes of American Hunter magazine(NRA), African Hunter magazine, Tracker Outdoors, Two River Times, WomenHunters.com,... Allan Eckert has quite a resume! Thanks for sending along the link. I'm adding it to "my favorites" and will take the time to look at his works more closely.

I am an avid F&I reader and Rev War, but mainly about the common man and his effilation with his inviroment, Sorry about my spelling, I have learned much from the daily activities of such. FYI; did you know if you cut yourself badly and you take bird down feathers and stuff them in the wound till the bleeding stops then remove the wod and then chew sasafrass leaves to a pulp place it over the wound the pain will almost disapear. There is another very good book on hunting called "44 Years in the Life of a HUnter" It's about Meshack Browning who lived 1840's in the Cumberland cap area of Md, Va. His exploits are unreal.

No I didn't know aout that unusual remedy. Also, the book about Meshack Browning sounds very interesting. I'll put that book on my wish list.
BTW - if you'd like a free signed bookmark just pm me with your name and address and I'll send one off to you. ncbowman and freedomrules3 each have one. No obligation - just a show of friendship.
Thanks Ant
