On my way home yesterday I saw a small Buck in velvet feeding close to the road and it was about 4:15pm and about 95 degrees. He was standing right out in the sun along with another deer that I could not see it's head. This morning the temp started in the mid 70's and shade on the same area I saw the deer in yesterday and no deer out at 7:00am.I can't figure out why they are feeding out in this heat and not out in the cooler mornings.
This is an area inside town that I see deer in quite often. It is in a cut out between hills to create the road that ends up in the downtown district.
