saturday a friend who has a frontloader and i took 4 trees down here, 3 were dead or well on their way. we also took the maple that overhung the house out. we had a rope tied to it and was helping it along with his frontloader. needless to say we got very lucky because the rope broke at a critical time and it nearly fell over into the house from the rope breaking . luckily all went well although it landed where the septic tank is, i didnt notice any damage though but i'm sure it didnt help it any. i could see it tettering towards the house and we really got lucky. i wish i could take down the oak right out front of the porch out but i was a bit leary after the maple and decided against it. his frontloader had a tree grabber attachment which made cleanup real easy.....drag em over to the clearcut ;D i'll use it for campfire wood . he did take the bottom portion of the maple with him hes gonna saw it up in his sawmill for something. he did make a boo boo though and maybe hurt my sawtooths dragging a tree right by them hurting them some i didnt notice while i was cutting up some of the trees.he also did some damage to my wifes perrenial stash . i couldnt say a whole lot as he didnt charge me anything for helping me out. i owe him bigtime . i offered too many times and he refused so i'll have to do it without him noticing ;D

Last weekend I took out a 6" black walnut. I chopped off all the side roots, then chained my pickup about 4' up to pull it sideways to get at the taproot. The trunk BENT 90 degrees about a foot above the ground. It didn't crack at all. I still had to dig deeper to get at the root.

i'll have to measure this maple stump, he couldnt dig it out since it was so close to the septic tank. it should have been removed a long time ago. it was pretty good size. another stump was right by the electric line so it couldnt be dug out either. he did remove the other 2 stumps though. i'll take a few pics of the stump. it was really close to the house.

Dick Dick, make this note for future ref; When the moon is decreasing and in Virgo, trees and shrubs pull out much easier.

I don't think mooning the tree will help much, but I can find a virgin somewhere to do the chopping, that would definitely help.

ok, just trying to be helpful. This is addressed in the Bible but few actually understand it and write it off as gobbledygook, ... just what the devil wants. lol.
