I have a couple of tomatos up from direct seeding. I potted some more acorn sprouts. I'll take some pics and post how I sprout and handle them. I need more treeshelter tubes and can't justify it. Gettin the sawtooths headhigh is the task. Everything wants to eat em down without tubes.

My plants have had a rough year. We only had two freezes during the winter and spring. The first was Dec.18 when it got down to 9 degrees. Due to the warm fall many plants were not completely dormant and were hurt by this cold, some were killed. Then this spring was warmer than normal until it got down to 20 degrees during the first week in April. The trees were leafing out and fruit trees were in bloom. Then two weeks ago we went from highs in the mid 70’s to 100 and 101 in 48 hours. What didn’t get frost bite got baked. Strange year for us.

Well my garden seems to have survived the hail storms on Sunday. The squash and tomatoes are fine. The peppers have a few torn leaves but look ok. The grape vine is dropy looking but should be fine. The sawtooths are about 6 inchs high. Now we need some heat.
