1-2-3-4-5 Poor period for planting. Kill plant pests. Clear fencerows. Clear land.
6-7 Favorable for planting peas, beans, tomatoes and other fall crops bearing aboveground. Sow grains and forage crops. Plant flowers.
8-9 Extra good for planting fall lettuce, cabbage, cauliflower, collards and other leafy vegetables. All aboveground crops planted now will do well. Plant seedbeds also.
10-11-12 Poor planting days. Cut hay or do general farm work.
13-14 Plant late beets, potatoes, onions, carrots and other root crops.
15-16 Poor days for planting. Kill plant pests, spray, fertilize, do general farm work.
17-18 Favorable time for planting late root crops. Also good for vine crops. Set strawberry plants.
19-20 Cut hay or do plowing on these barren days.
21-22 Good days for planting root crops.
23-24-25 Seeds planted now tend to rot in ground.
26-27 Plant tomatoes, beans, peppers, corn, cotton and other aboveground crops on these most fruitful days. Plant seedbeds and flower gardens.
28-29-30 Poor period for planting. Kill plant pests. Clear fencerows. Clear land.

ever notice how some days the weeds come up root and all very easily? today was one of those days. ;D

doesnt that have something to do with the moon???
ive also heard if you dig a hole when there is a full moon you cant refill the hole with the dirt you dig out .

Kinda. ;D If you check the table above, it tells what days are good for certain activities. Actually, gurus of the Almanac can get even more detailed than the table allows. Amazing how accurate it is.
