East Coast Hunters Forum is proud to announce its 1st Annual Whitetail Deer Hunting Contest. the contest will end on jan 31 2006 at midnight.
This contest will be 2 fold with an individual contest, and a team contest. teams will be chosen at random.
General Rules are as follows:
1) All deer must be taken in a legal and wild setting, no high fence or canned hunts will be allowed. must be taken during the 2005-2006 season.
2) any LEGAL weapon can be used. thus archery, ml or gun deer are allowed.
3) A photo of you and the deer must be presented to get points
4) ANY deer taken before sept 14th can count as long as it was taken legally .
5) no crop damage permit kills will be allowed.
6) You MUST be a registered site member
7) You Cannot Enter A Deer Killed Before Signing Up For Contest
8) ANY cheating will be deemed unsportsmanlike and you will be banned for a month and have to withstand total humiliation from your peers, so lets keep it honest.
9) A Scoreable Point MUST Be Minimum Of 1 Inch
Individual Rules
1) only 4 does may be submitted for scoring, this is due to restrictions in some states .does will count for 10 points each.
2) A total of 2 bucks can be submitted, scoring will be based on spread x 2 plus number of scorable points. a 3 point bonus will be given for 10 points and above consecutively. 4 points for 11 pointer and so on.
3) any deer taken with traditional archery equipment gets a 3 point bonus per deer, compound bows receive a 2 point bonus per deer.
4) Total scores will take the prizes. any ties will be broken by a poll thread vote by the members with a time limit of 1 week to vote.
5) a buck can be replaced with a better buck at any time during the contest.
Team Rules
1)All teams will be randomly picked.TEAMS WILL BE COMPOSED OF 3 PLAYERS
2) does will count as 10 points with a limit of 5 does per man.
3) Bucks will score 25 points +spread+number of points
2 bucks per person may be entered. a 3 point bonus will be given for 10 points and above consecutively, 4 for 11 points and so on.
4) any deer taken with traditional archery equipment gets a 3 point bonus per deer, compound bows receive a 2 point bonus per deer.
5)Any ties will be broken again by a member poll.
6) teams can enter a buck and replace it with a better one at any time during the contest. but only 2 deer per man may be entered.
INDIVIDUAL PRIZES
1st PRIZE FOR INDIVIDUAL DIVISION WILL BE A $100 GIFT CERTIFICATE TO CABELAS.
2ND PRIZE WILL BE A $50 GIFT CERTIFICATE TO CABELAS
TEAM PRIZES
1ST PLACE TEAM WILL BE A $30 GIFT CERTIFICATE PER TEAM MEMBER
2ND PLACE TEAM WILL BE A $20 GIFT CERTIFICATE PER TEAM MEMBER
PRIZES MAY BE ADDED AT ANY TIME DURING THE CONTEST.
