Went on a little hunt down on Pungo NWR yesterday evening but was turned away due to the draw gun hunt going on so I salvaged the day by moving over to a section of Pocosin Lakes that I could hunt. Got back in there and got all tangled up with these fellas and their friend that got away. These copperheads are beauties and even though all I had were boots and a knife, I managed to collect em without damage to me or the skins. One of em was ALMOST as mean as I am but I had my Mamba in mind and weren't givin up so easy. ;D Wish I could have gotten some pis of Pungo but I was threatened with a ticket for even being there without a gun hunt permit. The place is awesome with bear and deer sign. We should hold a forum hunt there, one of the best public land spots I've ever seen.

Pungo is a bear refuge and has special Fed regulations so we can't hunt bears there. Can't even deer hunt there after Dec 1st. It is very easy to get a ticket at Pungo, very easy. The wardens at this place are no joke even about the most frivilous of regs. I have an extra brochure detailing the hunting. I'll send you one.
