For Ohio this weekend. Rain...more rain mixed with snow....50mph winds out of the west. I'm still going out for a morning hunt tomorrow....weather permitting.....it's not suppose to get nasty until the afternoon. There shouldn't be very many leaves on the trees after this weekend though. With a wind that hard and harder gusts all the leaves should end up somewhere in Pennsylvania don't you think.

I think we all are getting the same system move through. lol So windy this morning I decided I didn't want to sway side to side all morning in my stand so I turned off the alarm and slept. It's supposed to get worse as the day goes on. It rained all night although it only rained 1-2 inches around here. Might try my hand at some still hunting this afternoon. At very least I'll get some scouting in and take some pics etc.

Same here Dan.The wind is blowing pretty good right now.I had a Basketball game to go to this morning but the morning would have been the best for around here because the wind is going at it now. Some gusts are suppose to be in the 50mph range.Like Rick said some trees will proably fall with the ground being that wet and those high winds.

Good rain last night. Very windy here as well.
Way too warm though. I took my dumptruck to the landfill and was sweating just driving.
Good afternoon to work on my camper and do chores.

Well I went hunting this afternoon over to the farm in Ohio.I would have to say that is proably the highest winds I have ever set in.I saw two Does across the creek and that was it.The stand I was sitting in was in the corner of an unpicked Soybean field with White Oak Acorns falling around me and a creek about 40 yards to my left. This is a stand we normally see at least five or six Does per sitting and usually a Buck.I saw an Eight Pointer at the ears in this field on opening weekend, but not tonight.I saw zero deer in the field but with 25mph winds with gusts in the 40's I wasn't surprised.
I stopped by one of the Check Stations for the county This farm is in and two guys stopped in with two Does to check in.I was talking to them about deer movement tonight and they said they were moving pretty good on the farm they were hunting. They also said that there are so many Does on this farm that the farmer has requested twenty five crop damage tags to thin them out.Another reason to stop in there was to get info on the best Meat processor around and those guys hooked me up with the guy they were taking theirs to.It just so happens that it is an Amish guy in the same area the BIG deer was taken on opening day.It is an area called Wheat Ridge.A place very well known for the Amish and a tourist spot I do believe.
I had been looking for a processor that would do Summer Sausage,Bologna,Jerky and Pepperoni sticks.Luckily these hunters stop in and give me the guys number. Now all I have to do is get a Doe to cooperate. ;D I'am hoping tomorrow evening.
