Probably gut shot if broadside or angling toward, but if he was angling 45-degrees away, it's about the right spot.
I hit a doe there in early oct and she only went 70 yds. Luckily hit a major artery.

thats pretty funny!!!
the top pix is histerical, the guys head has been super-imposed on the body, his left arm is twice as long as his right arm, that surley wasnt a movie editor that doctored up that pix.

aro - good eyes. I didn't even notice when I looked the first time. At least, it sure doesn't look real when you start looking at the picture.

From the wound loks like he killed that deer with a dang shovel.

I've been editing alot of film and photos for the past 9 months. One thing that always stands out in a pasted image is a distinct blended area around the pasted portion that doesnt exactly match the surroundings. neither the arm or the head or deer show even slightly that they were suprimposed over another photo when blown up in my photo editor. You can blend the two areas to minimize the crop look but you can never erase it entirely. This picture has clean transitions from his head to the background. It would be extremely difficult to get it done so cleanly. The arm length is an optical illusion and if you look at the mans face he has different mouth positions in each photo. I dont think the picture is a fake. if it is its a damned good one. Either way huge bodied buck.
